The goal of our
internship program is to have each of our students learn as much as possible
within all departments at the radio stations. Not only will they assist the
on-air staff, board operators, updates, and producers with researching, cutting
sound, preparing for guests, answering listener phone calls, but
they will also play a huge role within our promotions staff, assisting
with set up and break-down of remote broadcasts, setting up the booth, canopy
and equipment, and interacting with the listeners.
In addition, the intern may work within our
sales/marketing, administration/finance or operations departments.
The intern position may
last up to 2 semesters, depending on performance, and attendance. The internship is an UNPAID
position.
The student must be enrolled in an accredited university, college,
or junior college.
This is a perfect
opportunity for a mature student who is able to roll up their sleeves and get
to work. We are seeking
hard working, intelligent, proactive, self-driven young adults who
are outgoing and personable.
Interns must have strong customer service, computer
skills and must be detail oriented.
Our interns must prove
to be professional, and rise above the stardom. We are looking for those who can
separate themselves from the rest, and who want to learn all
aspects of the radio business.
Interns must work and
be available at least 10 hours per week, preferably 15-20 hours per
week. We are flexible and
will work around school schedules.
